Bio:

Ram Angadala is a seasoned Data Science professional with over 12 years of experience in product management, development, and deployment. Based in Bentonville, Arkansas, Ram specializes in big data cloud technologies, such as Azure and GCP, focusing on the Retail, IoT, and Manufacturing sectors.In his current role at Walmart Global Tech, Ram holds the position of Senior Manager II. Here, he leads advanced Data science products for Walmart’s Real Estate, Manufacturing, and Fuel technology divisions. His responsibilities encompass Data science initiatives under Last Mile, Walmart reality (Store remodels), Manufacturing supply chain, and Energy.

Before his tenure at Walmart, Ram was the MAX Data Science Lead at TK Elevator. In this role, he supported ThyssenKrupp Elevators’ multi-million dollar asset management solution, MAXBOX, which runs on over 100K elevators and escalators. Ram was instrumental in building predictive maintenance algorithms and technician recommendation systems, which could detect issues at an early stage.Ram has also served as a Data Science Lead at Cyient. Here, he was responsible for developing and delivering advanced analytic solutions and platforms for Cyient’s global customers. These solutions, which encompassed descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, were developed on open-source platforms and deployed using state-of-the-art big data platforms like Azure.

In addition to these roles, Ram has worked as a Data Science Consultant at Caterpillar Inc. and a Research Associate at the Indian School of Business and the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. A graduate of the Indian Institute Of Information Technology Allahabad, Ram holds a dual degree in IT & Marketing. He also holds a Micro Master’s degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
