Role:
Scientist - F
Company:
Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (retired)
Bio:
Rajagopalan – with formal training in Physics and Artificial Intelligence – has led projects in several cutting-edge technologies of ML and AI, combining Physics and programming expertise to create fused text mining, and numerical predictive analytics algorithms. He has utilized creativity, problem-solving drive, and analytical expertise to enable multi-million-dollar cost savings in reducing/eliminating downtime and boosting productivity with industrial predictive models. Having experience of over 36 years in the development and deployment of mission-critical predictive models, he has realized and put to practice the importance of QUALITY DATA. With this data-centric approach, he was instrumental in deploying solutions for mission-critical problems across multiple industries including power generation (nuclear, gas and oil, thermal, steam, and renewables), healthcare, aviation, and transportation.
His specialization is in domain-agnostic AI & ML, including deep learning for text analytics and NLP; predictive and prescriptive engineering analytics; fusing and leveraging the power of unstructured text with structured numerical data; data quality, adequacy and feature engineering. His model / solution-systems deployments include, but not limited to, simple expert systems; large-scale decision support systems; architecture, design, and development of platform/database for industrial assets and infrastructure management; PHM (prognostics and equipment health management).
