Bio:

Joel has worked in the insurance industry for 25 years, including three multi-billion dollar insurers, leading data science teams and doing a variety of data science work to support several business functions.  During this time, he has been involved in numerous discussions where he’s seen how different people can reach different conclusions using the same data.  He will draw on these experiences to discuss a number of potential issues in analytics projects with examples from the public domain.
